Watch AMON AMARTH's Johan Hegg & ARMORED SAINT Cover METALLICA's "Hit The Lights"

Metal Blade Records continued it's 30 year anniversary celebration this past weekend in LA with a show that featured Armored Saint, Sacred Reich and Gypsy Hawk. A lot of people were in attendance, including, as you can see from the photo above, Metallica's Lars Ulrich and James Hetfeild, pictured with Metal Blade owner Brian Slagel.

Of course, the story goes that Slagel gave Metallica's their first break by putting the (now classic) track "Hit The Lights" on his Metal Massacre comp.

In a cool move, the headliners of the show, Armored Saint invited Amon Amarth's Johan Hegg, who was a guest in attendance, taking a break from writing a new album, to perform the classic track. Take a look:

I'd say they fucking nailed it, how about you?

Also covered? Slayer's "Die By The Sword"
