The Obsessed, who is fronted by Scott "Wino" Weinrich of Saint Vitus, Wino, and Shrinebuilder fame, reunited in early 2016 after sort of fading out after a reunion in 2011. Prior to that, the band broke up in 1995 shortly after its final album The Church Within, which was released in 1994.

The Obsessed is back to show y'all how to do stoner metal right in 2017, and there really isn't a better example of that sound than "Punk Crusher." It's a song that harkens back to the good ol' days, namely when The Obsessed was still killing it as an active band the first time around. The Obsessed will released Sacred on April 7, and you can pre-order that here.

It's also worth noting that The Obsessed will continue on as a three-piece, as guitarist Sara Seraphim has left the group. Seraphim was a part of The Obsessed from 2016 to 2017.
