Grave have been at the death metal game since 1986 (back when they were Corpse) and people are still paying attention, which only means they've been doing something right. Now they're back with one hell of a vengeance with their new track, "Venial Sin"!
If you weren't aware that Grave were dropping their Morbid Ascent EP on September 17 in North America (August 26 in Europe) via Century Media, then here's your wake up call! "Venial Sin" proves that Grave are still on top of their game; it's a speedy, at times sludgy, metal masterpiece that absolutely slays in every way imaginable. While the whole song does indeed kill it, the outro is downright creepy with the funeral bells tolling on every single downbeat of a riff repetition. Can you say "well thought out"? Not to mention the lyric video is so typically gore-themed in the most fitting way possible… you know what? Everything about this just rules. If you're not planning on getting this EP, then you're wrong.
