The Gazette will be releasing Dogma on August 26 and I didn't know exactly how excited for this record I was until I heard the single "Ominous." This song is everything I absolutely adore about bands like Katatonia and Porcupine Tree, in terms of heavy music that isn't afraid to sit back on wavering keyboards and acoustic guitars from time to time. If the whole album is like this, then there's an excellent chance this might be one of my favorite albums of 2015!
As a pretty frequent follower of this band, it also seems like a return to form of albums like Dim. There's a very melancholy quality to the music that just crushes you, despite not being able to decipher the lyrics. Check it out!
If anyone can figure out where to buy this CD from without breaking the bank, I will purchase you one alcoholic drink of your preference.
