My neck is killing me right now. On Saturday Night, Noa, Sean and I, along with a ton of our friends went to the Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan, Red Fang show, and it was quite the fun experience. I think I overdid it with the headbanging because right now my neck and back are still killing me two days later. Getting old is no fun, kids. One of the highlights of the night was towards the end of Dillinger's set when vocalist Greg Puciato called out original Dillinger vocalist (and current Argonauts frontman) Dimitri Minakakis. Dimitri came out for the closing moments of "Sunshine The Warewolf" which went right into "43% Burnt."
Mastodon had a lot to live up to following an explosive set from the DEP crew, and they certainly delivered with over an hour of absolutely the right fucking set to play, and closed out with the epic number "Creature Lives" off of The Hunter, with all the members of the opening bands coming out and joining for a massive sing-a-long.
