Monday we announced that The Acacia Strain has a new EP called Above/Below due out on November 23. Now you can hear half of the EP with the song "Above"!
In short, damn this song is heavy. I was pretty worried what the band would sound like now that songwriter and guitarist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz quit the band and was replaced with two new guitarists Devin Shidaker (ex-Oceano) and Richard Gomez (ex-Molotov Solution), but this song is sick. It sounds more like Continent than the band has in previous years, which is a good thing; moar riffz = moar goodnessz. I'm excited to hear the other track "Below" as I'm hoping it's going to be super slow and sludgy!
