A few years back I went to one of the few U.S. concerts Sweden's Beardfish put on at Roxy & Dukes in New Jersey, and ended up catching a set by American progressive metal band Vangough as one of the openers. The band immediately reminded me of a heavy, early version of Pain Of Salvation, with touches of Leprous and Ihsahn thrown in there. So needless to say, I'm pretty stoked to be premiering one of the band's new songs today!
"Knell" is a bit of a slow-burner that definitely gets to the heavy bits, but makes it quite an interesting journey along the way. Vangough will be releasing its new album Warpaint on March 17 independently, so pre-order it here physically, and here digitally!
