Indian Death Metallers PLAGUE THROAT Return With the Blissful & Cacophonous "The Epoch of Catastrophe II"

Plague Throat

Plague Throat is a death metal act based in Shillong, India. Back in 2017, the band released their debut LP The Human Paradox, which fused the brutality of groups like Sepultura and Morbid Angel with the technicality of The Faceless or late Death. You can check out my full review of that album here. Throughout their career, Plague Throat has also acted as the opener for Cannibal Corpse, co-headlined with Psycroptic, and performed at Wacken Open Air.

The group is back with an upcoming EP titled Evolutionary Impasse, which will be released on February 20th. Speaking about the EP, the band's frontman Nangsan comments, "This song strongly condemns and questions the misusing and misleading of the masses by utilizing the easily accessible stupidity and incoherence of the majoritarian mindset which in turn leads to division among people."

We here at Metal Injection are excited to premiere the track "The Epoch of Catastrophe II" off the aforementioned EP. The song feels to be an even stronger extension of their previous material with the extreme factor providing a cacophonous contrast to moments of blissful, melodic riffage.
