PAINTED IN EXILE Announces Its First Album In Seven Years With An Insane New Track, "House Of Cards"

A new song, pre-orders, and everything you need to know!

A new song, pre-orders, and everything you need to know!

Painted In Exile came out swinging in 2009 with its Revitalized EP, and then promptly disappeared into the world of promising new material. The band fell into a state of inactivity, though revived itself in 2014 with an insane, progressive mindfuck of a new track called "DM" in 2014.

Now, after a funding effort by the band, we're stoked to announce that Painted In Exile will be releasing The Ordeal on October 28! The album was produced by Jamie King (Between the Buried And Me, The Contortionist, etc.), and features new keyboardist Alan Hankers, new guitarist Ivan Chopik, and new bassist Jacob Umansky in addition to standing members drummer Eddie DeCesare, vocalist Rob Richards, and guitarist Marc Lambert. it's 10 tracks and 46 minutes long, and is likely to be loaded with all kinds of progressive metal ingenuity, if the prior EP was any indication… or the new song below.

So go ahead and check out the awesome new track "House Of Cards" below, with great visuals directed by Tom Flynn. Though it's understandable if you get too caught up in the riffs and have to go back a second time to really appreciate the video!

Don't forget to catch Painted In Exile on tour with Scar Symmetry, Arsis, and Shattered Sun, and definitely don't forget to pre-order The Ordeal here!
