DIVIDER's New Track "Turning the Soil" Feels Like Having Your Face Pressed into a Belt Sander

This is heavy!

This is heavy!

I've never had my face pressed into a belt sander, but I imagine it would feel like how the music of Long Island, New York's Divider sounds. The band has been toiling in relative obscurity for nearly a decade; weathering all manor of adversity including line-up changes, lawsuits, and the razing of vocalist Chris Tzompanakis's house by Hurricane Sandy. The band has persevered through all of of this, and now they're on the verge of releasing their debut album titled All Barren on September 23rd. As a lead up to the album's release, Metal Injection is proud to bring you the premiere of the track "Turning the Soil."

Divider's music is grand, harsh, and angry, and "Turning the Soil" is a solid representation of what All Barren has in store for listeners when it's released next month. At a minute and a half, "Turning the Soil" is short, but it packs an undeniable wallop. The guitar, bass, and drums form a sonic maelstrom that's only rivaled in fury by Chris Tzompanakis's piss and vinegar screaming. Fans of Neurosis, early Isis, and Tombs should perk their ears up for this album. For another taste of All Barren, head over to Invisible Oranges who recently premiered the track "Requisite." All Barren is available for pre-order now through Glory Kid Ltd.
