Next month sees the return of Long Island's Artificial Brain. The group burst onto the scene in 2014 with their album, Labyrinth Constellation. The quintet brings science fiction to highly proficient, technical death metal that is from a similar vein as Gorguts. This year, the Brain is back with their second album called Infrared Horizon. The new material features a full narrative about a dystopian future where robots and cyborgs have outlasted humans. Furthermore, it has a number of guest appearances as well. Most notably is our very own Obituarist, Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder. Strnad appears on the title track of Infrared Horizon, which we are happy to present today.
"Infrared Horizon" is written from the perspective of something non-human, trying to define human existence." The band said about the song. "This is a track that we debuted live on our tour with The Black Dahlia Murder in late 2015, so it felt appropriate to have this be the track that features guest vocals by Black Dahlia singer Trevor Strnad. This song also features Paulo Paguntalan of Copremesis and Gath Šmānê, who contributes some vocals to the outro, a piece of the record that reflects our interest in incorporating more electronic experimentation into our sound."
