SOILWORK's New Song "Helsinki" Is Yet Another Catchy Classic

BREAKING NEWS: Soilwork is still damn good.

BREAKING NEWS: Soilwork is still damn good.

Soilwork will be releasing Death Resonance on August 19 via Nuclear Blast, though it's not a full-length. Instead, the compilation will consist of two new songs, re-mixed (and some re-recorded) Japanese bonus tracks from The Ride Majestic, The Panic Broadcast, Sworn To A Great Divide, and Stabbing The Drama, as well as the entirety of the Asia-only EP Beyond The Infinite from 2014.

Check out one of the two new tracks below, titled "Helsinki," which according to guitarist David Andersson was recorded shortly after the band finished up its live album Live in the Heart of Helsinki in 2015.

"Death. It's a word that might be used too often, but it can still be interpreted in a myriad different ways. It's not just the soma being deprived of its lifeforce; it's also the end of infinity, the birth of new possibilities and the acceptance of inevitable change. This song was written soon after the recording of our live album in Finland, making new friends and making sure that the old ones stay with us forever, despite the fact that everything is finite."

Death Resonance can be pre-ordered here.
