SERJ TANKIAN Goes Electronica on A New Track with BENNY BENASSI

Untz. Untz. Untz. Untz.

Untz. Untz. Untz. Untz.

System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian has been pretty quiet of late, so it's pretty interesting the first thing he  proverbially says in a little while is a track with electronica artist Benny Benassi.

"Shooting Helicopters," when it comes right down to it, is a pretty rote and unimaginative electronica song. Tankian's performance on the song is downright awesome, but realistically when is the man not on point with his vocal acrobatics? Regardless of Tankian's amazing ability to sing, the song… sucks. It's the usual "quiet thing, build up, gradually faster thing and then bass drop / ad nauseum" thing that just won't seem to go away.

Oh well. The song is worth a listen for Tankian's vocals, but there's way better electronica out there.
