When I got a press release in my inbox announcing a new band from the frontman of Refused, Dennis Lyxzén, I was excited to hear what they sound like. When I hit play, what I heard was not exactly what I expected:
Spoiler alert: It's not metal, it's not hardcore, it's just basically Joy Division worship. Not to say it's bad, I did find myself mildly rocking out to it. Then again, I enjoy bands like Justice, Chromeo and Daft Punk so don't take my word for it.
Regardless, INVSN (pronounced 'invasion') will put out their debut album this fall. Are you fellin' it?
