It's European festival seasons, meaning most of the metal gods are overseas blasting eardrums of European metalheads. Over the weekend, France held it's annual Hellfest and I guess Jason Newsted and Phil Anselmo were feeling jammy and came up on stage to jam it out with Voivod.
Newsted, who was a member of the band during the '00s came up for a song:
Not to be outdone, Phil Anselmo also came up, helping the band cover the Pink Floyd classic "Astronomy Domine":
