OPETH & KATATONIA Played BLOODBATH Songs On Last Night of Tour

Baltimore, MD, you lucky motherfuckers! The Opeth/Katatonia tour was winding down at the Ram's Head, at what was the final stop of the tour on Tuesday, November 2nd and as a special treat for the fans in attendance, and for shits and giggles, the members of both of those bands that comprise the amazing death metal side project Bloodbath came out for a two song encore, concluding with an incredible rendition of their hit, "Eaten." To say I am incredibly jealous that I didn't get to see this at the NY stop is an understatement. We just got a lot of pretty Opeth songs, but I really wanted some nasty Bloodbath tracks. Now if you excuse me, I have to go listen to all of Bloodbath's discography.

    I saw Opeth and Katatonia play last Sunday, and they never played any Bloodbath songs. My heart is crushed.

    I'm still so pissed about this. In Seattle, all of us were chanting BLOODBATH at the end of Opeth's set and all Akerfeldt had to say about that was, "How about no?" Fucking Baltimore…lucky bastards.
