Finally! The new Soundgarden song is out, and I'm banging my head. We've already had our first taste of new music from the band, this summer, courtesy of their contribution to The Avengers soundtrack, which can be heard here. It was good, but this one seems a bit more upbeat.
While it's a perfectly passable song, I have to say that Kim Thayil's riffing is a bit of a disappointment in that there is nothing that stands out, the way mega-anthems of past-Soundgarden's eras did (see the ultra-powerful Rusty Cage). Here is the song:
