January 2017 was an extremely scary time for Yob frontman Mike Scheidt, who received emergency surgery for a bout of diverticulitis that damn near killed him. Scheidt provided intermittent updates about his health over the course of the year and said he was getting better and better until eventually he was well enough to work on new Yob music.
Now Yob is back in full force with a new album called Our Raw Heart due out June 8, and you can check out the absolutely killer new song "The Screen" below. The riffs are plentiful and very Gojira-esque, but perhaps more importantly is that even four years out from Clearing The Path To Ascend, Yob has returned with music that's still as captivating as always.
