SEPTICFLESH Post New Song, To Release Codex Omega In September

Seems like Septicflesh has gotten a touch heavier.

Seems like Septicflesh has gotten a touch heavier.

Septicflesh is back in 2017 to orchestrally terrify you, and do so very well. The band will be releasing Codex Omega on September 1 via Prosthetic Records, which will also be the first Septicflesh album to feature drummer Kerim "Krimh" Lechner (ex-Decapitated). You can check out the new song "Dante's Inferno" below, which guitarist Sotiris V. likens to being "a gateway to hell" for the new album.

"We are proud to present the first track from the upcoming album, Codex Omega. The song is appropriately entitled "Dante's Inferno", acting as a gateway to hell… as it was inscribed on the top of the Hellgate in the famous poem by Dante Alighieri, 'Through me you pass into the city of woe; Through me you pass into eternal pain; Through me among the people lost for aye'. This is just the first glimpse – the entrance to our new album. Stay tuned as more will gradually be revealed with the release date of our new album getting closer…"

Codex Omega was produced by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Dimmu Borgir), and once again features the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague. You can pre-order Codex Omega here.
