LEGEND OF THE SEAGULLMEN's (TOOL, MASTODON) New Song "The Fogger" Is About Ocean Murder

It's about Danny Carey killing people in the ocean. Seriously.

It's about Danny Carey killing people in the ocean. Seriously.

Legend Of The Seagullmen features Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, Tool drummer Danny Carey, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra bassist Pete Griffin, vocalist David "Dr. Dreyer" Dreyer, guitarist Jimmy Hayward, and keyboardist Chris Digiovanni. The band will release its debut self-titled album on February 9, and what better way to get stoked for it than a song heavily focused on Carey's drumming?

Though the plot is a little more complex than that, says Hayward.

"'The Fogger' is a mystical aquatic tale about The Seagullmen‘s very own drummer, Danny Carey. He stalks the ocean in search of users, abusers and polluters and deals lethal justice with his third eye while ripping the faces from skulls, just like he does during the punishing and beautifully complex drum solo in the middle of the song. The solo explodes into a furious conclusion, leaving no doubt about the karmic justice and pure ferocious power of 'The Fogger'!"

Now go get lost in the fog.
