Japanese Post-Hardcore Stalwarts ENVY Return With New EP, New Lineup

Alnair in August is out now and it rocks.

Alnair in August is out now and it rocks.

Envy damn near broke up after touring North America in 2015 for their album Atheist's Cornea. Now they're back with a brand new 7" called Alnair In August and it's a beautiful, furious return for the band with essentially a whole new lineup. Guitarist Nobukata Kawai and bassist Manabu Nakagawa remain in the group as they have since they founded Envy in 1992, and are rejoined by founding vocalist Tetsuya Fukagawa. Envy also welcomes guitarists Yoshi and Yoshimitsu Taki, as well as Hiroki Watanabe on drums.

If you've never heard of Envy before, definitely give this a spin and pick it up below. It helps Envy's back catalogue is also pretty well-documented on their Bandcamp page.
