If you haven't gotten into artists like Carpenter Brut and GoST, you are seriously doing yourself a disservice. The synthwave movement is one of the most fun things happening in heavy music right now.
Carpenter Brut recently remixed a track from another fun metal band, Ghost. Brut took the already-dancy "Dance Macabre" and made it even more poppy and dancy. Take a listen:

"I've been a big fan of Ghost since their beginning," said Carpenter Brut, "and when I had the opportunity to open for the band in 2016, I was super excited. Last April, I received an email from Tobias [Forge, Ghost leader] himself asking if I would remix 'Dance Macabre', and, of course, I accepted. I wanted to bring a funky and disco touch, not just confine myself to the pure synthwave style that would have been expected, but to make this remix a disco rock song and bring out the pop side of the band that is always underlying in their music."
Forge always wanted to do a remix of this track and notes that Brut was his first choice for the job. Brut previously opened for Ghost on a selection of dates in 2016.
Ghost play a sold out Royal Albert Hall in London on September 9th and kick off a string of dates in the US in October culminating in big shows at Brooklyn's Barclays Center and the Los Angeles Forum. Dates here.
