FU MANCHU's 18-Minute Psychedelic Stoner Epic Features RUSH Guitarist Alex Lifeson

For an 18 minute song, Fu Manchu knows how to keep it interesting.

For an 18 minute song, Fu Manchu knows how to keep it interesting.

Fu Manchu just released their new album Clone Of The Universe and we were pretty sold on what we'd heard from previous singles. However, Fu Manchu proved that they're more than capable of just writing a solid song and took on writing one killer epic to close out the album called "Il Mostro Atomico." The song is 18 minutes long, features Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, and might seriously be the best song on the album. Fu Manchu did a wonderful job at changing moods, switching around tempos, experimenting with sounds, and just overall making an 18-minute song a super engaging listen. Plus, who doesn't want more Alex Lifeson to listen to, especially now that Rush is pretty much all wrapped up with its career.

"We are excited to get out and play this stuff, especially 'Il Mostro Atomico.' We think it's some the strongest music we've ever done. We really love the overall sound of the album and having Alex play on it is just incredible. It gives it that special validation for the idea that we had to try something like a side long song."
