DOPETHRONE's "Snort Dagger" Is Angrily About Doing Cocaine, Has An Amazing Lyric Video

It's also really, really heavy.

It's also really, really heavy.

You may be very surprised to find that a band called Dopethrone has songs about doing drugs. Once you're over that initial shock, you'll be pleased to also know that their music is ridiculously heavy, slow, and tuned down to the bottoms of the abyss. Dopethrone's new song "Snort Dagger" is exactly all of those things and comes with a pretty on-the-nose lyric video, which you can check out below.

Dopethrone's first LP in three years Transcanadian Anger is out on May 25 and you can pre-order it from the band themselves right here. Who doesn't need an album with a title like that in their collection? Transcanadian Anger was recorded and mixed in Montréal by Jean-Baptiste Joubaud (Blight, Vatican), mastered by Tom Waltz (Blight, Mullmuzzler), and was given artwork by Alexandre Goulet (Despised Icon).
