I am absolutely one of those Born Of Osiris fans that wishes the band would build upon what they did from The New Reign to The Discovery. This new song "Silence The Echo" is certainly a step in the right direction, but seems a little aimless and empty in terms of writing and actual melodic content. Plus the dated "noise-gated-to-hell djent guitars" don't really do it any favors. Who knows – maybe the new album, whenever that is, will be worlds better. Maybe this is just a boring b-side, right? Here's hoping.
Fans are also pointing out that bassist David Da Rocha isn't pictured in the video (you can see him in the far left of the above photo), but he's still listed as a member on the band's Facebook. So we'll see what happens there. Catch Born Of Osiris on Summer Slaughter 2018.
