Author & Punisher, project of machinist and musician Tristan Shone, recently signed to Relapse Records in order to best bring his destructive, distorted noise to the masses. Author & Punisher will release Beastland on October 5 and the new song "Ode To Bedlam" is a massive, swaggering industrial track that will probably blow your headphones or speakers right the hell out.
Beastland was recorded at K Street in San Diego, CA and engineered by Tristan Shone & John Cota (Death Eyes). Additional recording was done in Las Cruces, NM with Jason Begin (vytear). The album is co-produced with Braden Diotte (Faust, Neurosis, Tarantula Hawk), mixed by Kurt Ballou (High On Fire, Converge) at God City and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.
