Neurosis guitarist and vocalist Steve Von Till really needs to pump out solo records more often, because everything he's done on his own has been awesome. I publicly voiced my love for the debut track from his upcoming solo record A Life Unto Itself, due out May 12 via Neurot, and I'll do it again, dammit!
Seriously though, I love the slow, somber sound of his song. The pedal steel guitars, the ringing tones, the raspiness in Von Till's voice and the minimalism that goes into creating this kind of atmosphere. Excellent work, Steve!
