CARNIVORE is not a band you can bring home to mama

Before Peter Steele was singing about shades of lipstick and covering Neil Young, he was in one of my favorite thrash bands of all time, CARNIVORE. If ever there was a prototype for the perfect 80s thrash band, I think these guys fit that description to a t. Speedy guitars? Check. Misogynistic and psuedo-racist lyrics? Oh hell yea. Pig heads and raw meat flying around on stage? Check! If you haven't been exposed to this awesome band, definitely pick up their two CDs (Self-Titled and Retaliation). Your neck will never be the same!
