METAL EVOLUTION: New Documentary Coming To VH1 Classic

Metal: A Headbangers Journey is one of my all-time favorite music documentaries. Sam Dunn did a phenomenal job bringing a professional eye into the world of metal. Since that film, he's gone on to do great documentaries for Rush and Iron Maiden. I guess he caught the eye of Vh1 Classic, because they approached him to do an 11-part series on the history of metal in a series they are calling Metal Evolution. Kudos to the brass at Vh1 for doing something awesome like this. It kicks off this Saturday, November 11th at 10pm eastern, with an episode focusing on "pre-metal." I can't wait to watch it.

A friend of mine told me about an excellent metal documentary called "Metal Revolution" a couple weeks ago. I couldn't find anything about it online. No wonder. :P
