Master Of Horror JOHN CARPENTER Is Streaming His New Unsettling New Song "Night"

Are you ready to get eerily retro?

Are you ready to get eerily retro?

John Carpenter, the puppeteer behind films such as, but not limited to, Halloween and Escape From New York, is dropping his debut solo album Lost Themes on February 3 via Sacred Bones Records. This will be Carpenter's first musical endeavor outside writing soundtracks for films and, judging by what we've heard so far, I'm really hoping he'll continue down the path of standalone composing.

Check out "Night" below and try to imagine neon signs advertising prostitution and drugs, roving packs of leather-clad gangs and futuristic looking weaponry as the setting for a soundscape such as this.

If you're a fan, then click here to experience Carpenter's other preview of the album, "Vortex."
