MACHINES OF MAN Go To Prog God Mode In "I Am The Colossus"

Ever since the release of Machines of Man's last LP, Dreamstates, my radar has been on high alert for these crazy musicians. I reviewed their record back in 2017 and very much enjoyed the material, likening their quirky, progressive deathcore tendencies to that of Between the Buried and Me. Later in the year, the band even hit the honorable mentions section of my top albums list last year.

While the band has been busy preparing their follow-up, they have also been cranking out some playthroughs of songs from Dreamstates. Most recently the group filmed a full band performance of "I Am the Colossus."

The performance took place and was recorded at Man vs. Music studio with assistance by Michael Sasich (Thunderfist, Blackhole) as well as mixing and mastering by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, Scale the Summit). You can view the "I am the Colossus" full band playthrough below. For more info on the band and upcoming music and tour dates, click here.
