KHôRADA (Ex-AGALLOCH, Ex-GIANT SQUID) Drops Doom-Laden New Song "Ossify," Debut Album In July

This is really, really good.

This is really, really good.

Khôrada, the band featuring ex-Agalloch guitarist Don Anderson, bassist Jason Walton, and drummer Aesop Dekker, alongside ex-Giant Squid guitarist and vocalist Aaron John Gregory, announced their existence way back in mid-2016 when Agalloch unceremoniously broke up. The band has finally completed their debut album Salt and will release the effort come July 20.

You can hear the lead single "Ossify" below, which is entirely more post-metal and doom than I had imagined it would be. It's also 11 minutes long and not one single second of that elongated runtime is anything less than stellar. Seriously, Khôrada got the original hype for their lineup, but these dudes are easily living up to that excitement with this debut track.

Pre-order Salt here.
