Metal Injection

Before you get your panties in a bunch, the band is still retired. But the music still exists and is still awesome. Being that there are a lot of instrumental interludes, some of the band's tracks are ripe for mashups, and that's exactly what CrookOne of Team Sleep fame has done, combining the band's track 'Celestial' with rap icons Dead Prez's track "Hip Hop". Somehow, thePRP tracked this down and the awesome result can be streamed below:

Sounds killer to me! This isn't the first time the track 'Hip Hop' was mashed up with heavy music. The track appeared on the underrated Loud Rocks compilation and featured Wayne Static of Static-X making a cameo. The comp is worth seeking out if only for the amazing cover of Wu-Tang's "Shame" by System Of A Down.
