Between writing for Metal Injection and working a full-time job, I've been known to enjoy me some video games in my spare time. I was pretty excited already for the upcoming Halo: Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One considering it's all the games plus a remastered version of Halo 2, but now I've got a whole new reason for my high hopes! Guitarists Misha Mansoor (Periphery) and Steve Vai have contributed to the redone soundtrack to the game. You can hear both their contributions below to some extent for added awesome!

The Steve Vai work is just the song he's contributed before, but redone, and Mansoor's I'm not sure where that'll fit in it all. Still though! The soundtrack will be issues on CD and vinyl and will include the original Marty O'Donnell Michael Salvatori soundtrack, but again- redone. The game, and presumably the soundtrack, will be out November 11.
