Gruesome doesn't hide the fact that its purpose is to pay homage to the late, great Chuck Schuldiner of Death fame, and its new song "Fragments Of Psyche" is no different. In fact, the track was written to sound like the Human-era of Death, and Gruesome grabbed drummer Sean Reinert (ex-Death, Cynic) to drum on it! In case that didn't make sense, Reinert drummed on the Human album.
The track is off Gruesome's upcoming EP of the same name, due out March 31 via Relapse. The EP features the below track, a cover of Death's "Choke On It," and a few early Gruesome demos. No word on it Reinert drums on both new tracks for the EP, or if Gus Rios takes back over after the title track.
