It’s Monday and Mondays suck, so let’s grind it out with a song premiere from Holy Grinder entitled “Bile Overdose.”
Last April I covered Holy Grinder’s Eradicate All Scum. It’s fast, heavy and noisy as hell, and was one of my belated favorites of 2016. Had I heard it in time, it would have clocked in on my top fifteen of the year. And I’ve been hungry for new material since. Well, the earth has split because the Toronto, Ontario trio is back with “Bile Overdose.”
This song is like an assassination attempt. It just fucking goes. The immediate blast is a pure adrenaline shot that slams you right in the chest. It’s like a flash mosh pit. It breaks itself up though. Throughout its thirty-four-seconds the song gives you a few spots to breathe before the pummeling continues.
The track was recorded at Apartment 2 in Ottawa, ON and mixed by Topon Das of Fuck the Facts. The sound on this has been significantly stepped up without losing any of its raw, noisy edge. The full record drops March 2nd. Get ready for pain.
