Stream MUTE THE SAINT's Self-Titled, Sitar-Fronted Prog Metal Album

Sitars and metal – we needed this!

Sitars and metal – we needed this!

Yes, an instrumental metal band that focuses largely on its sitar player does exist and yes, it's fantastic. We've talked about Mute The Saint here and there over the past year, but now we've been given the privilege to stream the Indian band's self-titled debut album in full!

Mute The Saint clocks in at about 30 minutes and really focuses on blending Indian music with modern djenty metal, resulting in a listening experience that's sure to keep you coming back for more! The album was recorded completely online without any of the members meeting each other in person. Lead sitar player and songwriter Rishabh Seen says it is the first metal album of it's kind combining instrumental Indian classical music with progressive metal featuring sitar leads.

The album is out now and can be purchased through Bandcamp, iTunes, Google and all major digital retailers.
