Get Crusty With R.I.P.'s Street Doom Crusher Street Reaper

Street doom, ahoy!

Street doom, ahoy!

R.I.P. brought the world its debut street doom effort In The Wind in December 2016, and now they're back with an even grittier sophomore album titled Street Reaper. R.I.P. firmly believes that "doom is not tied to a tuning or a time signature, but rather a raw and terrified feeling," and damn do they nail it.

Street Reaper is just a disgusting, punk-rock-meets-Black Sabbath shredder that's going to leave a film of filth on any speaker which has the misfortune to output its gnarly sounds. The album also feels like a step up from In The Wind, which was definitely solid, but Street Reaper just nails the riffs time and time again throughout its runtime, making every song a grossly memorable one. Not to mention the vocals sound like what I'd imagine Jello Biafra fronting a doom band would sound like.

Street Reaper is out this Friday, and you can pre-order it here.
