Hey look, it's everything The Mars Volta never really was in a nutshell. I'll be the first to admit that The Mars Volta were among my favorite bands a while back, but the last record they released was just the bottom of the barrel for them. Apparently Cedric is way better than that mindless drivel and decided to show us with Zavalaz. Seriously, this is the coolest shit he's done to date from what we hear on that trailer. It's retro and rock-ish enough to absolutely rule, and even gets in a little bit of that occult rock-kinda stuff now. All of my yes. Tour dates are:
