Exclusive Premiere: VEXT's "In The End"
- Posted by RobInjection on February 22, 2012
When the fine lads of VEXT came to us with their first single, "In The End," we jumped at the opportunity to premiere the track for the Metal Injection junkies. The band features frontman Tommy Vext, who you may know from his time with Divine Heresy and Snot, as well as guitar virtuoso Angel Vivaldi, who we've fawned about in the past, and the rythym section of the now disbanded Mutiny Within (Andrew Jacobs on bass and Bill Fore on drums). For those expecting brootal underground death metal, this is not for you. These guys are going for melody and I think they do a pretty solid job of writing a catchy song that just so happens to have an unfuckwithable guitar solo from Vivaldi. The track comes from their EP, Impermanence, which has yet to see a release date. What do you guys think of Vext?

Um rob, MUTINY WITHIN NEVER "DISBANDED", they're still relatively active and are working on album #2 in the background. I suggest that you get your facts right before you make inaccurate statements like that.
@N30N_d34TH
jokes on you bud. they are on an indefinite hiatus, and are NOT active. i suggest YOU get your facts right before you make inaccurate statements like that.
I'd have to agree with Quaffer. They announced a few months back about their hiatus. They wanted to take on new projects. Album 2 was already in the works while Chris was with them. They have tracks they want to eventually release. Although they did just recently release 2 unheard tracks via youtube that were supposed to be on album 2. I myself feel this project is similar. Chris has been working on a solo project that he says sounds more along the lines of hard rock. Should be good stuff. Now, lets all just get along and enjoy great music.
Sounds a lot like if Five Finger Death Punch and InFlames had some messed up mutiant baby.
