Foo Fighters multi-instrumental Dave Grohl decided to record 23-minute long instrumental in which he played all the instruments because he felt like doing it. The instrumental has not yet been released, but Grohl documented its entire creation. That documentation will come out in two parts under the title Play on August 10.
The song consists of Grohl playing seven instruments all in one continuous take. So Grohl would do drums and then immediately start playing bass to the drum track he just recorded, then guitar and so on and so forth. If anything, you have to admire how much work really went into this in one sitting.
