DARKEST HOUR's New Song "Timeless Numbers" Sounds Like Slower, Old DARKEST HOUR

FFO: Undoing Ruin in slow motion.

FFO: Undoing Ruin in slow motion.

Darkest Hour's new album Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora has some serious potential. It features ex-guitarist Kris Norris, was produced by Kurt Ballou, and is being released through Southern Lord, who have a history of releasing super gritty, heavy records. All of those reasons are great, and sort of factor into why I love "Timeless Numbers" so much.

The main reason is that "Timeless Numbers" sounds like if you took the ideas from albums like Undoing Ruin and Deliver Us, took out the harmony guitar bits, and slowed it all down. It's classic Darkest Hour all over again, but in slow motion!
