Dank Slams

DANK SLAMS: Mexican Scatological Slaughter Slam Vs. Canadian Hyperblasting Brutality! (FECALIZER, DEITY)

Yep. We know. This is Dank Slams. All dank, all the time, right? Wrong! Shit can be dank and not slam like your Uncle Boffo's bedpost against your bedroom wall as he is bangin your mother. Whatever, cheeto-man, get over it. With that said, enjoy today's brutality, straight from both Mexico and Canada!

FECALIZER
– BACK FROM THE DEAD: THE WONDER (S)HITS (2017)

Mexico. Along with being one of the most beautiful countries in the world also has a reputation as one of the most savage – as it relates to our beloved brutal death metal. How the hell does a country that has given the world's best in both cuisine and family pet (Tacos and Chihuahuas, respectively) also give us the world's best in extreme music? Well, when you have bands such as The Chasm, Brujeria, Disgorge, Hacavitz, among countless others, it's easy to draw inspiration.

With the stage set, enter brutal death/grind band Fecalizer. If you are a fan of sample-heavy horror-grind, you are in for a big steaming pile of goodness! Kicking around for over a decade, the guys have had the distinction of contributing to the Anal Cunt tribute, Defenders Of The Noise, with their incredibly honest take on the classic song "Trapped". This kinda paints a picture of the Fecalzier experience – one which sees them wearing their influences on their sleeves (or, more fittingly, patched jackets) – with bands such as Mortician, Dead infection, Mucupurlent, LDOH, CBT, Carcass, Exhumed… the list goes on.

After their critically-acclaimed Grind Galore, released earlier this year, the guys are back with a best-of album, entitled Back From The Dead: The Wonder (S)hits, which celebrates fourteen years of frequent, regular bowel movements. If you have yet to take the Fecalizer experience, grab yourself a big roll of four-ply toilet paper, queue up your fave poo porn, and dive in… mouth-first! This is the perfect shit (no pun intended) while we all await their third full-length album, Fecal Inferno, which plops in the new year!

Back From The Dead: The Wonder (S)hits is available now on CDN Records. Head here to grab your very own copy!

DEITY – SELF-TITLED (2017)

Canadian brutal death metal knows no bounds. Much like Florida and Sweden, Canada has spawned its fair share of legends. Topping this list are the triumvirate of Gorguts, Kataklysm, and Cryptopsy. With this kind of supremacy, it's no wonder that Canada continues to produce some of the best brutality this fucked-up world has to offer.

With a lineage that goes back twenty years, Deity is poised to usher in a new epoch of Canadian brutal death metal with their debut, self-titled album. Taking lessons learned from their forefathers, the guys have concocted a straight-up, no-frills tapestry of inhumanity. It crushes where it should crush. It brutalizes where it should brutalize. It's not afraid to take chances – and those chances never come at the expense of head-crushing ferocity!

In a fitting move, the guys employed the percussive services of the one and only Flo Mounier of Cryptopsy. With the addition of Flo, the songs on display ebb and flo(w) with the traditional-sounding northern hyperblast that Canada is revered for. It doesn't get much better than this, folks!

We are super-stoked to bring you an exclusive stream of new song "Rituals". The album drops on November 10th, via the mighty CDN Records. Head here to pre-order your very own copy (and receive a full-color sticker). Tune in here for a special live stream of the album this coming Saturday at 6:30 PM EST.
