Coheed and Cambria has always been fairly hit or miss with me, though the new stuff off the band's upcoming record The Color Before The Sun has been fantastic. The band's new song "Here To Mars" reminds me a lot of what the band was trying to do with its Year Of The Black Rainbow record, but a lot more focused.
The mechanical, softly driving elements are present as they were on the aforementioned record, yet they change and adapt when the soaring chorus kicks in. There's a very certain dynamic to it and it rules… what I'm getting at is that this song is crazy good!
Get The Color Before The Sun when it comes out on October 9 via 300 Entertainment.
