COFFINS Premiere "The Vacant Pale Vessel"

Japan's Coffins have been exhumed for the first time since 2008 with their upcoming record, The Fleshland. Now you hear what decay sounds like.

The nine-track hell of The Fleshlands is the first record since the band's 2008 acclaimed effort Buried Death, but it hardly sounds like they took a break. The band sound just as evil as ever, plodding along the soft soil of a graveyard to dig up bodies and consume them in their never-ending hunger for human flesh. Hey, that's what the music sounds like to me. "The Vacant Pale Vessel" is exactly what I would imagine slam metal would sound like extremely slowed down; all gutteral and fuzzy, but with that signature doom sound. Damn this album could be cool.
