Black Anvil is back with a trimmed down version of itself.
Black Anvil's new album As Was is due out on January 13 via Relapse Records, and thus far it sounds pretty different than the band's 2014 effort Hail Death. The songs seem to be a lot shorter and a lot less concentrated on atmospheres, and more so on the riffs. Granted that's just from the two songs we've heard, but still.
