Devin Townsend Project will be releasing Transcendence next week, and thus far it sounds like it might be one of the most intriguing releases from Townsend yet. The songs we've heard remind me a bit Devin Townsend Band's Accelerated Evolution, which still stands to be my favorite album of his.
The reason I bring that up now is mainly due to the new song "Stormbending." I'm not 100% convinced this wasn't written back then and has just been lying around, waiting to appear on a new album.
