New ALICE IN CHAINS song posted and it's heavy as fuck!
Posted on June 30th, 2009
ALICE IN CHAINS finally released their first single today in nearly 14 years, "A Looking In View" and as my good friend Axl Rosenberg put it "Cantrell and company have silenced the naysayers who said it couldn’t be done without Layne Staley, and schooled every Godsmack, every Hurt, every band that’s basically ripped AIC off in the years since their initial demise." Amen! You can download a free MP3 (in exchange for your email address) at Alice In Chains' official website. Consider me interested in hearing new Alice In Chains!

29 horns up

Good tune there.
Like it!!! Can't wait too see them in August w/TOOL,LINKIN PARK… two horns up!!!
i like never thought they would keep going tho
Can't wait for the whole album, it sounds great, vocals are awesome. ;)
Sounds okay, but he's no Layne. I still think they should have changed their name before continuing without Layne. I don't care what their lineup is, but to me without Layne there is no AIC.
Nickelbag… Layne was just the singer. he was only one piece of that band. if the drummer had died, should they change the name then? i don't understand how people can think of a band that way. there are other members of this band who have put their blood sweat and tears into making this music and they deserve to be able to continue on with what they (not just Layne) created. it's theirs too and Layne is dead. Good for them for at least continuing to make good music and not get lazy about the songwriting like other bands who are trying to make a comeback are. If you are a fan of theirs you should want them (the entire band) to be able to carry on shouldn't you?
Exactly. Just remember when Bon Scott died, did AC/DC(who were fucking great at Punchestown last Sunday) throw in the towel? Hell no.
This kills. No doubt. Much better than I was expecting. I dig the epic length. Zone out and surf the rock. \m/
Wow, damn good song! I had all my Alice In Chains playing at work today, and when it went from their old stuff to this, I couldn't even tell the difference until a few minutes into the song!
I am very happy to see them back together and recording new music. Its been far to long but the outcome is pretty much worth it. I'm just amazed at how heavy they have gotten. Cant wait!
