Akani is essentially what would happen if the New York hardcore scene hung out in Sweden for a few months, and then came back and recorded an album. The band consists of guitarists Daniel Antonsson (ex-Dark Tranquillity, ex-Soilwork) and Daniel Cederborg (ex-Path Of No Return), drummer Anders Löwgren (Dead Reprise), and vocalist Jorge Rosado (Merauder, ex-Ill Niño).
The band will be releasing its debut LP Through My Darkest Infernal through Demons Run Amok Entertainment on July 15, and we're premiering the band's single "Temple Of Lies" right now. The track is a seriously impressive blend of chunky death metal riffs, a catchy Fear Factory-esque chorus, and enough sections that'll give you plenty of time to punch someone right in their face.
