Blake Judd Says NACHTMYSTIUM Is Not Over; New Album Coming Later This Year!

More Details Announced For PHIL ANSELMO's Inaugural Film Festival

When you create something this fucking awesome, you have to give yourself some time to prepare. That is why details have been announced seven months in advance for Philip Anselmo's inaugural Horrorcore Horror Film Festival, which takes place this October in Austin, Texas.

Not only will Eyehategod and Crowbar be performing during the festival along with Down, Warbeast, and Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals, but influential Mayhem frontman Atilla Csihar will be performing a soundtrack, so to speak, during a special screening of the silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. New GHOST Album Delayed Over Controversial Orgy Album Art

KYLESA Announces New Tour, Releases Album Artwork

THE CONTORTIONIST Loses Singer Due To Impeding Child

Singer Jonathan Carpenter parted ways with The Contortionist over the weekend, because his longtime girlfriend is about to his first child. According to a press release released Friday afternoon, Mike Lessard of Last Chance To Reason will be temporarily replacing Carpenter on the road for the remainder of their dates.

Former Members Of GLASSJAW, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES Form New Band

There's a new hardcore supergroup in the works called Get Involved!, which features former members of Glassjaw, Thursday, From Autumn To Ashes, Judge, and Death In The Park. BLACK TUSK Finished Recording New EP

Black Tusk has finished recording its new EP that will be released sometime this Spring on Relapse Records. I'm not sure of the name, but I guarantee you there will be mad riffage. Kylesa vocalist Phillip Cope returned to produce and record the new EP, which is supposed to serve as a gateway between 2011's Set The Dial and the band's next full-length album. (more…)

PYRITHION Featuring AS I LAY DYING's Tim Lambesis To Release Debut EP

RINGWORM Signs To Relapse Records

HOWL Reveals Sick New Album Art

Providence riff lords Howl have just unveiled the new album artwork for their upcoming Bloodlines album that comes out April 30 in North America. The band recently wrapped up recording with Chris "Zuess" Harris at the infamous Planet Z Studios, which has produced some amazing records from Crowbar, Soulfly, and Municipal Waste, among a ton of others.

Mixing Is Complete On Final RIGOR MORTIS Album

I was very excited when I posted that Rigor Mortis would be releasing a new album, however that was before Mike Scaccia's untimely passing. It's been a few months since, and now news has broke that Dallas-based engineer Kerry Crafton, who engineered the original self-titled for Capitol Records in 1988, has finished mixing the final Rigor Mortis album, Slaves To The Grave.  (more…)

MESHUGGAH, MASTODON And More Donate Items To BARONESS Relief Fund

It's no secret that Baroness suffered a very serious bus accident last summer, which left several Baroness members and crew with broken bones. Friends of the band have launched Baroness Relief, an upcoming benefit auction which will help pay the band's mounting medical bills.

Some items that will be auctioned off include Brann Dailor of Mastodon's snare drum that he used during the recording of 2004's Leviathan. Other instruments, signed LPs, posters, and artwork have been donated by Mastodon, Napalm Death, Kylesa, Neurosis, Municipal Waste, Meshuggah, and Red Fang among others.  (more…)
